WHAT: The Buddy Walk®... is one of nearly 300 walks planned for 2014 worldwide to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.  Puget Sound Buddy Walk® is a trademarked program created by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to assist local parent groups in their advocacy efforts.

The Puget Sound Buddy Walk® is hosted by the Down Syndrome Community (DSC) a non-profit organization committed to building a caring, supportive community through networking, educational seminars and social programs that cultivate friendships which positively impact families in the Puget Sound area.

WHEN: Puget Sound Buddy Walk® is from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 5th 2014

WHERE: Seattle Center Next 50 Plaza.

WHO: Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does or just want to show your support, come and join us! At the Buddy Walk®, you will join walkers from all over the Puget Sound as we unite for a common cause and raise funds to support the Down Syndrome Community and NDSS.

ACTIVITIES: Throughout the event, enjoy entertainment for the whole family, with juggler and magician Alex Zerbe, music, dancing, face painting, a fishing booth for prizes, informative booths, food trucks, photo booths, art created by local artists with Down syndrome and more.

SPECIAL GUEST: The Down Syndrome Community is proud to welcome honored guest, Karrie Brown, to the Puget Sound Buddy Walk, courtesy of fashion retailer, Wet Seal.
